Stratford Racecourse - steeplechasing since 1755
Today, the course has fifteen meetings a
year, most of which take place throughout the summer. In 1997
, a new glass-fronted Grandstand was opened. Having won a
major award for the care of the racetrack, we are proud to
be in the top flight of smaller courses in the UK.
This popular small
National Hunt course attracts large crowds, quality trainers
and jockeys and competitive racing.
The Stratord course
has something for everyone from Birmingham Evening Mail Family
Day, Ladies Day, Countryside Foundation for Education Day,
our pre-Cheltenham Festival Irish Day and the Intrum Justitia
Championship two-day festival in May and regular action from
March.
There are excellent opportunities for individuals
and companies to build an afternoon (or evening) around a
race that they have sponsored and named.
Other events
When there is no racing, the course offers
a quiet country ambiance perfectly situated in the Heart of
England. Their unique atmosphere always creates great interest
whilst providing an unhurried environment for your event at
a price that is hard to compete with.
There is also the bonus of unlimited
free car parking, and you'll find that we are the better choice
for your conference, private party, wedding reception, dinner
dance, meetings trade fair, or outdoor events.
Hospitality at Stratford Racecourse
They offer a variety of private rooms all
well appointed and designed, to cater for 10 to 90 people.
There is also an option of hiring a
Marquee for up to 500 guests.
Whether they are newcomers to the sport or
seasoned racegoers, a day the races is an appealing prospect
for anyone. To spend the day in the comfort of your own private
box/room ensures a perfect day’s corporate and client
entertainment.
Their conference facilities offer nine individual
break out rooms for smaller meetings, alongside the main function
suites. The rooms cater from 12 people up to 25 people depending
on the room. All our facilities have disabled access, catering,
cloakroom areas and ample free parking.
A large external display area is available
on site and the New Grandstand can be used for demonstrations,
exhibitions, fairs and conventions.
Directions
Road,
tStratford Racecourse is approximately 15 minutes from
Junction 15 of the M40 and 40 minutes from Junction 7 of the
M5. With Birmingham only 40 minutes away and London, Bristol,
Cardiff and Manchester all within two hours drive, the course
is easily accessible.
Rail
Stratford Racecourse is just a five minute journey by
taxi or a 25 minute walk from the railway station.
