Introduction to Newton Abbot Racecourse
Since 1855, Newton Abbot Racecourse has been
at this 93 acre site located on the edge of a busy market
town, and is widely recognised as an important National Hunt
summer racecourse in the country.
The racecourse offers great facitities
if you are planning to hold an event. Many of the rooms offer
fine views across the site giving an air of peace and tranquillity,
perfect for your conference, meeting or seminar. The racecourse
is in a central location for South Devon with excellent road
links from the coast, the moor, Plymouth and Exeter. There
is also a mainline station in the town. Meetings can be held
all year round including the morning of racing, allowing your
guests to enjoy a day at the races.
Location
The racecourse is within
easy access from the M5 motorway, and being well signposted
from the outskirts of the town, the racecourse is easy to
find and has plenty of parking for up to 5,000 cars which
is free.

of the racing action for a great price.
Under 16's are free in the above areas
if accompanied by an adult.
Directions to the Newtn Abbot racecourse
Road
Newton Abbot is served by
the motorway network. The Racecourse is well signposted from
the M5, just a few miles away. Racegoers should follow the
A380 towards Torquay after leaving the M5 at Junction 31.
From Plymouth you should leave the A38 at
the junction signposted Newton Abbot, following the A383 until
the main roundabout on the outskirts of the town, take the
first exit the A381, signposted to the Racecourse and Kingsteignton.
Rail
There is a railway station
at Newton Abbot within a three quarters of a mile of the course,
and its on the mainline from London Paddington.
Air
Helicopters can land at the racecourse with permission
from the racecourse, well in advance.
