The Musselburgh Racecourse - horse racing since 1816
It was originally known as Edinburgh Races
with meetings held on Leith Sands, the move to the attractive
meadows setting at Musselburgh has proved a popular and lasting
success.
The race course now hosts 24 race days, both
Flat racing and National Hunt meetings.throughout the year.
The racing experience at Musselburgh has
it all for a great day or evening out.
Horseracing is thrill a minute stuff and a sport that has
appeal to everyone. You can people watch, study the horses,
and hopefully enjoy the excitement of a winning bet! You can
just feel the tension mount, hear the thunder of flying hooves
and experience the roar of the crowd as thousands of punters
cheer their selections home.
Throughout the year The Musselburgh Racecourse
also offer special entertainments so if you are looking for
somewhere new to entertain the kids, an excuse to dress up,
or maybe a different venue for a night out with friends.
Their biggest race meetings include the Scottish
Sprint Cup held in late May, the New Year's Sprint, and Ladies
Day in September.

When you come racing
at Musselburgh Racecourse, you can choose between two different
areas.
Grandstand Ticket.
Everything you need to enjoy a great day at the races
is here. You have an excellent view of the day's racing and
access to the Parade Ring to see the horses. There are bookmakers
and tote betting points to take your bets, numerous bars and
food outlets, plus the Old Weighing Room Bistro if you want
to sit down for a meal.
Club Enclosure badge
Being a day Club member gives you access to everything
in the Grandstand plus two additional bars and the Club Restaurant
, which depends on availability, and you can view the races
right on the winning line.
If you are a family, accompanied children
of 16 or under get in for free to either enclosure making
horseracing a great value day out.
They also offer a special Grandstand ticket
concessionary entry price if you are a student, older than
65, unemployed or disabled.
The Musselburgh Racecourse have a wide range
of bars throughout the Racecourse to cater for everyone.
Grandstand ticket holders can access the
Rockavon Bar, The Old Weighing Room Bar, Rosebery Hall Café
Bar, Champagne Marquee, Pinkie Bar & Freddies Bar.
Make sure you have your Club Enclosure
badge so you can access all the above bars, plus Dizzy’s
Bar and Le Garcon D’or Bar.
