Introduction
The Exeter Racecourse is the South West's
most prestigious racecourse, sitting high on the top of Haldon
Hill, just outside Exeter with wonderful views.
At 850 feet, Exeter Racecourse is the highest
racecourse in the UK , and at 2 miles, the second longest.
It has been regarded not only one of the loveliest courses,
but one of the fairest tracks in the country. Horse Racing
was first recorded here 350 years ago in the reign of Charles
II and since then many a great National Hunt champion has
started their career at Exeter such as thge great Desert Orchid.
The racecourse's corporate hospitality, restaurant
and conference facilities offer a wide ranging selection of
rooms in which to experience this great venue.

The Racecourse has very easy access straight off the
A38 and they have unlimited car parking.
Selection of rooms to choose from
Exeter Racecourse offers a superb range of rooms suitable
for all types of meetings, exhibitions, product launches and
parties. The first floor Desert Orchid Restaurant has full
bar facilities and a capacity for up to 250 theatre style
or 170 seated for a dinner/dance or wedding reception, and
their other meeting rooms have wonderful views, good natural
daylight and also blackout facilities if required. Catering
requirements are tailored to your needs and they can also
arrange for the availability of any audio visual equipment.
Open air events
They also have a 10 acre site in the centre of the course
which can be used for Trade Shows, Outdoor Fairs and Charity
Events.
Direction to the Exeter Racecourse
Road
Exeter Racecourse is situated
at the top of Haldon Hill, alongside the A38 Exeter to Plymouth
Road, 5 miles south west of the end of the M5 Motorway and
two miles east of Chudleigh.
Rail
To Exeter St Davids from London Paddington, is around
a two hours journey. There are taxis are available. After
racing it is advisable to book your return journey.
Bus
There is a free bus from Exeter bus station and Exeter
St Davids train station, to the Racecourse and back
every raceday.
